1852 Letter:1877 John P. Sillin wrote a letter 21 March 1852 describing the death of William Morey (1814-1852) and asking for financial help from family members. (See William P. Morey.) Letter refers to "Hannah's girls" and describes "Mandy is taller than her mother and Sara Ann ain't much behind and Sirvatus is 2 1/2 inches taller than I am. We have one girl about 9 months old and call it Levina Loiza and it is a bright youth." Allene Locklar3522 states that her "g grandfather was Sirvetus Sillin. I think his father's name was John P. Sillin, son of John Silling. And I am not real sure what his mother's name was. I think it was Sarah Patterson, daughter of John Patterson."
