There is no known blood relationship between John Sillin and Horris Wheeler. It is assumed that the newly married Horace and Mary Jane were helping the older couple with farm chores prior to relocating to Auglaize County. Once in Auglaize, Horace was living near John P. Sillin, son of John and Sarah, and it was at Horace's barn raising that William P. Morey was fatally injured. John P. Sillin was married to Hannah Patterson; Hannah's sister Rebecca was married to William P. Morey and Horace Wheeler was the nephew of William P. Morey.
