Edward Phillips and family enumerated as a separate family living in the dwelling of Elisha Arnold, age 66, and wife Phebe, both born in New York. The 1910 enumeration indicates there were four children born of this marriage, of which one was still living. Documentary proof exists for Irene L. (Porter County Vidette1751 death notice), Aurie Marie (death certificate1598), and Otis Edward (living at time of 1910 census). Although this couple were married in late 1878 and age 5 is very clearly written for Blanche in the 1880 census, perhaps an enumerator's error took place and Blanche was actually younger than 5 years of age. No other documented evidence of Blanche Phillips or other children of this marriage has yet been discovered; however, the 1890 census was lost and this family has not been located in the 1900 enumeration.
