Phillips died June 28th 1886." 1886 Death Certificate:159 Irene S. Philips; female, white; age, 6 years, 6 months, 22 days, date of death, June 28, 1886, 12:30 a.m.; nationality, American; born, Wheeler, Indiana; resident of Illinois, 3 years; place of death, S.W. corner School and Chestnut St., Englewood; cause of death, typhoid fever; duration of disease, 14 days; place of burial, Wheeler; name of undertaker, Chamberlin; dated at Englewood, June 28, 1886. 1886 Death Mention:160 "Died, in Englewood last Sabbath morning, Irene, eldest daughter of E. and L. E. Phillips, aged 6 years and 6 months. The remains were brought to Wheeler Monday evening and buried Tuesday morning from the M. E. church, Rev. Mr. Loder officiating at the funeral services. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips seem to command a double share of sympathy, as he is still very feeble from an attack of typhoid fever of several weeks duration and his final recovery seems still far in the future." | ||||||||||||
