Cannady - Moving from Virginia through Ohio, the Henry Cannady family settled in Allen County, Indiana by 1850. Skilled as plasterers, they contributed to the architectural beauty of the city of Fort Wayne, before moving to Cass County, Michigan shortly after 1860. Son Augustus Cannady, a saloon proprietor, died in Fort Wayne in 1877, leaving a widow and five children: Mary, Frank, Emma, George, and Flora. • Cannady Index
