Family Remembrance:795, p. 61. "William Mason Warnock was born October 4, 1835, in Indiana. The 1850 census lists his age as 13 years which would figure 1837 as the year of his birth. In the 1840 census he was listed as under 5 years of age. He married December 21, 1862, at Oregon City, Pernecia Hughes, 1842-1918, daughter of Samuel and Faith Hughes. The Reverend C. F. Beatie performed the ceremony. William Mason died in 1922."

1835 Birth:2612 Birth date of 4 October 1835 taken from 1922 Multnomah County death certificate. Birth place assumed to be Porter County, Indiana as The History of Porter County, Indiana47, p. 36. (Chicago, 1912) indicate Presley Warnock arrived with members of the Frame family in 1834.

1840 U.S. Census:2280 William enumerated in the household of his father Presley Warnock in Lake (actually Porter) County, Indiana, as a male under age 5; William was about age 3.

1853 on the Oregon Trail:2549 In an affidavit filed on 17 November 1855 in connection with is donation land claim, father Presley Warnock attests that he and his family arrived in Oregon Territory on 25 September 1853.

1862 Marriage:2427 On 21 December 1862, Mason Warnock married Pernecia Hughes in Clackamas County, Oregon.
