Family Remembrance:2128 "James A. Cannady's first wife was Tryphena Rich, born Ohio (Ref. IGI Family History Library). Married May 5, 1841 in Putnam County, Ohio. Her parents were Andrew and Polly (Hoyt) Rich. Andrew Rich's probate file E 1841, Putnam/Allen Co., Ohio listed his children as Tryphena, Aartimisia, Liberty, Andrew Jackson, Lyman, Alonzo, Isabel and Richard." IGI extracted marriage records for Putnam County give marriage date as 5 May 1842.

Children residing in the household were Frances M., a male age 5; Martha Jane, age 3; and Alonzo, age 1. Also residing in the household were Liberty Rich, age 16, the brother of Tryphena, and Eli G. Casper, age 20, a carpenter.
