Notes for Eve MOSSER

Biographical Sketch (1932):1372, p. 171-172. "Eve, who was likely named for her grandmother, Maria Eva, married Jacob Good in York County, Pennsylvania. They moved to Lawrence Township, Tuscarawas County about 1807. Jacob Good kept the first tavern in northern Tuscarawas County.1372, p. 171. As his authority, Farley cites Mansfield, J. B., The History of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, chapter IX. According to the U. S. census of 1800, Jacob and Eve had four daughters. One of them, whose name was Mary, married a Stout. Perhaps the Susanna who married a Blosser was also their child. Jacob Good purchased a lot in Lawrenceville from his father-in-law in 1808.1372, p. 171. As his authority, Farley cites Tuscarawas deeds, I-130. He also bought farm land from Abraham in 1808 and 1809.1372, p. 171. As his authority, Farley cites Tuscarawas deeds Old I-245 and 246. Jacob and Eve did not seem to care for pioneer life and went back to Washington, Pennsylvania, before 1818.1372, p. 171. As his authority, Farley cites Tuscarawas deeds Old III-390. They were still living in Washington in 1823 when they gave a quit-claim deed1372, p. 172. As his authority, Farley cites Tuscarawas deeds Old V-125. to John Machan Jr. who bought Abraham Musser's property after this death."
