1782 Arrival in Kentucky:2832, v. 1, p. 236. Deposition of John Frame taken 10 August 1805: "The deponent first became acquainted with the waters of Jouett's creek in the fall of the year 1782. I settled my family at Mr. Morrow's and lived here note more than a mile from this place until the fall of 1801.."

1782 Tax List, Fayette County, Kentucky:1273, p. 45. John Frame listed as taxpayer in Fayette County in what later became Kentucky in 1782.

1785 Land Grant Survey:969, p. 6, 7, and 48. On 14 April 1785 John Frame had surveyed 4,774 acres on a fork of Sycamore Creek in Fayette County, Kentucky. On 19 March 1785 Jeremiah Frame had surveyed 700 acres on Sycamore Fork of Slate Creek in Fayette County, Kentucky. These grants were termed "Virginia Grants" and were issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia based upon warrants given in some cases as consideration for military service in the French and Indian war, and later in the Revolution. They dated from 1782-1792.

1787 Land Grant:1095 On 19 September 1787 John Frame granted "4774 1/2 acres adjoining Joseph Proctors Tract of 1500 acres and Charles Morgans Tract of 975 acres on the Sycamore Fork on the south east side" in Fayette County, Kentucky by Edmund Randolph, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
