Possible Origin:1451, p. 52. Dave Hemmert, in his The Story of Bavarian Immigrants, identifies the Bavarian village of the Wehner family as Euerbach, adjoining Schweinfurt.

Biographical Sketch (1993):29 "Joseph Wehner, born ??? in Euerbach. He married Margaret Klüpfel June 8, 1835 Allen Co. (blessed by the Church Jan. 28, 1838 Minster). She was born ca. 1806 Hausen, Bavaria to Joseph and Margaret Klüpfel. Joseph died 1864 and Margaret died Nov. 19, 1883 Pusheta Twp."
