1834 Relocation to Porter County, Indiana:47, vol. 1, p. 170. "The first settlements in what is now Porter township were made during the years 1834-35, when Samuel and Isaac Campbell, Newton Frame, David Hurlburt, Isaac Edwards, and a few others located in that part of Porter County."

1834 Relocation to Porter County, Indiana:771, vol. 1, p. 128. "Porter Township was created in 1836 and its boundary lines have been materially changed since originally created. It now has an area of about forty-five square miles. The first locations in the township were made in 1834 and 1835. Among the settlers of that period were Samuel and Isaac Campbell, Newton Frame, David Hurlburt, Isaac Edwards, William McCoy, Ezra Reeves, Morris Carman, Dr. L. A. Cass, William A. Nichols, J. C. Hathaway, William Frakes, Alpheus French, Henry W. Wilson, A. M. Bartel, Jonathan Hough, Wm. C. Shreve, Edmund Hatch, David Dinwiddie, Moses and Horatia Gates, William Robinson, Richard Jones, and Asa Cobb. The first school in the township is said to have been taught by Mrs. Humphrey at her home about 1838."

Paine built the first dwelling and took up the first claim in what is now Jackson township; Thomas and William Gosset selected claims in Westchester township; William Thomas Sr., Jacob Beck, John Hageman, John I. Foster, William Frame and Pressley Warnick brought their families and established homes in the same township."

1841 Land Purchase:1154 On 2 March 1841 Newton Frame of Porter County, Indiana purchased 80 acres for $1.25. He was issued certificate 14138 by the registrar of the Land Office at Winamac for the sum of $100. The land is in present day Porter County, Indiana.

1844 Land Patent:1033 On 1 August 1844 U.S. General land Office issued Certificate no. 14138 to Newton Frame of Porter County, Indiana, for 80 acres, Range 7W of the 2nd Principal Meridian, Township 34N, Section 2, sold at the Winamac Land Office on 2 March 1841. The land is located in present day Porter County, Indiana.

1852 Church Membership:1879 Newton Frame indicated as not present at the fourth quarter conference for the Valparaiso Circuit, July 2, 1852. Newton was present at the first quarter meeting held at Union Chapel, October 23rd, 1852.

1858 Will of Newton Frame:618 Be it remembered that on the 29th day of September 1858 the following will was filed in the Clerks Office of the Porter Common Pleas Court to wit: "In the name of the Beloved Father of all, I, Newton Frame of Porter County and State of Indiana, do make and publish this my last will and testament. First it is my will that my just debts and charges be paid out of my Estate. I give & devise all the residue of my personal and real estate to Elizabeth my beloved wife to be hers so long as she shall remain my widow. At the death of my said wife or in the event of her marriage, I give and bequeath all my personal and real estate to my four youngest sons, William Francis, Daniel Warren, Levi Cass, and Malphus P, to be divided equal share and share alike. It is my will that my aforesaid sons shall pay to my three daughters Margaret, Lucinda, and Rachel the sum of two hundred dollars apiece within two years from the death of my beloved wife. And also it is my will that my sons Thomas and John shall have twenty five dollars apiece to be paid by the aforesaid sons within three years from the death of my beloved wife.

I do hereby nominate and appoint James Cadwell executor and the said Elizabeth executrix of this my last will and testament hereby authorizing and empowering to compromise, adjust, release, and discharge in such manner as they may deem proper the debts and claims due me. I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of September in the year 1858."

State of Indiana. Porter County. Personally appeared before me the Clerk of the Porter Common Pleas Court William Frame, who, being duly sworn on his oath says that he was one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will of Newton Frame and that said testator was of full age and of sound mind and memory at the time of executing said will, that he signed the same as a witness thereto in the presence of the said testator, and that he saw the said testator sign said will as his last will and testament. Wm. Frame. Subscribed and sworn to before me, this 29 day of September 1858. O. Dunham, Clerk, State of Indiana, Porter County.

I, O. Dunham, Clerk of the Porter Common Pleas Court, do hereby certify that the written will of Newton Frame, late of Porter County, deceased, has been duly submitted to probate, that its execution was proven by William Frame, whose proofs together with such will has been duly recorded in pages 165 and 166 of the Record of Wills in this Office. 1859 Administration of Estate of Newton Frame:621 First day of January Term, 3 January 1859. On the estate of Newton Frame, the granting letter of executorship in behalf to Elizabeth Frame and James Cadwell is confirmed by the Court and bond approved.

1878 Remarriage of Widow:63, p. 383. Newton's wife Elizabeth, a widow in 1878, married Newton's brother William in March 1878.
