Horace Wheeler's 1906 Obituary:870 "Horace Wilder Wheeler united in marriage to Mary Jane Trotter, Sept. 12th, 1850. With his companion he moved to Auglaize County, Ohio, May 2, 1851. To this union were born 3 boys and 3 girls, of which 4 children and their mother preceded him to the spirit world. He was left without his companion to care for two little children until 24 Jan. 1867, when he was united in marriage to Joanna Bitters. To this union were born four children, 2 boys and 2 girls, all of whom are living."
