1826 Marriage:2298 Ephraim Patterson married Eve Fry on 29 June 1826 in Licking County, Ohio, performed by Elias Howell, Justice of the Peace.

1830 U.S. Census:1065 Eve enumerated in the household of her husband Ephraim Patterson in Burlington Township, Licking County, Ohio as a female age 20 to 30; Eve would have been age 25. Two daughters under the age of 5 also resided in the household, which was adjacent to Ephraim's father Adam Patterson and the household of Philip B. Moore, who was married to Ephraim's half-sister Lydia Patterson.

1840 U.S. Census:1875 Eve enumerated in the household of her her husband Ephraim Patterson in Burlington Township, Licking County, Ohio as a female age 30 to 40; Eve was age 35. Four sons and two daughters also residing in the household, along with an unidentified male age 20 to 30. The household was adjacent to that of Adam Patterson, the father of Ephraim.

1850 U.S. Census:1060 Eve enumerated in the household of her husband Ephraim Patterson in Washington Township, Johnson County, Iowa as a female, age 43, born in Pennsylvania. Five children and a possibly unrelated female, Eliza Cole, were also in the household.

1860 U.S. Census:2301 Eve enumerated in the household of her husband Ephraim Patterson in Washington Township, Johnson County, Iowa as a female, age 52, born in Pennsylvania. Two children, Smiley and Bruce, were living in the household, along with Anthony Chopp, a farm laborer. Son John Patterson2304 and wife Rebecca enumerated in adjacent household. Smiley Patterson would later marry Mary E. McEldowney, who was age 17 and living in English River Township, Washington County, Iowa, with her parents in the 1860 enumeration. Washington County and Johnson County are adjacent. The McEldowney family was living next to the Moore family, led by Philip B. Moore, believed to be the husband of Ephraim Patterson's half-sister Lydia Patterson, whose mother was Sophia Jones.
