1790 Birth:515 Birth year of 1790 estimated based on age (60 years) in 1850 census enumeration; birth place of Virginia taken from same enumeration. Polly identified as a daughter of John Patterson in Patterson's will1920 written 23 January 1815 in Augusta County, Virginia. John Patterson's will identifies the children of John Patterson as sons Adam and George and daughters Jane Patterson, Sara Sillings, and Polly Moore.

1807 Marriage:517 3 February 1807 marriage of John Moore Jun. and Polly Patterson performed by Rev. William King. Vogt and Kethley520 cite groom's name as "John (Jr.) Mohr."

1840 U.S. Census:524 Mary enumerated in the household of her husband John Moore in Washington Township, Licking County, Ohio as the one female age 40 to 50; Mary was age 50. In addition to Mary and her husband John, ten children resided in the household.

1850 U.S. Census:515 Mary enumerated in the household of her John Moore in Washington Township, Licking County, Ohio as a female, age 60, born in Virginia. John and Mary were part of an extended Moore family which included James Moore, age 77 and also born in Virginia, who was possibly the brother of John Moore. John Moore,526 age 30, and Robert Moore,525 age 29, were living in adjacent households with their own families. Children living with John and Mary Moore were Samuel, age 21; Sarah, age 18; William, age 16; and Harriet, age 15.
