Biographical Sketch (1923):34, p. 670. "On May 31, 1912, William J. McMurray was united in marriage to Louise Nagel, daughter of Philip and Hermania (Menges) Nagel of Wapakoneta, the marriage taking place at Knightstown, Ind., where the bride at the time was visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ray W. Hussey. Mrs. McMurray passed away on March 4, 1914, after a married life of less than two years. She was a lady of rare Christian character, refined and intelligent, active in church work and a devoted wife. Her death was deeply mourned by her bereaved husband."
