Janes Cemetery, Porter County. 1940 Obituary:1092 Mrs. Margaret M. Bay. Mrs. Margaret M. Bay, age 74, died early today in her home at 421 Monroe, following a brief illness. She had lived in Gary for 30 years and was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors are a son, Clyde, of Valparaiso, and two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Glenn of East Gary and Miss Maude Bay of Gary. The body is now in Anderson's Funeral Home but will be returned to the residence late today, where it will remain pending funeral arrangements. 1940 Obituary:1093 Former County Resident in Gary at 73. Mrs. Margaret Bay, age 73 years, widow of the late Levi F. Bay and a former Porter County resident, died suddenly this morning at her home in Gary. She had been in ill health for some time, but her death was unexpected. The decedent was born on October 21, 1866, and for many years lived on a farm near Wheeler. For the last twenty years she had resided in Gary. Surviving are three children, L. Clyde Bay of Valparaiso, Miss Maude Bay of Gary, and Mrs. Bruce Glenn of East Gary. A son, Frank Bay, died in 1934.
