Biographical Sketch (1881):68, p. 245. "[Silas Frame] married Miss Polly Strader, who was born in North Carolina. Daniel Frame, now residing in this township, was born May 7, 1826, on the farm he still occupies, and September 18, 1851, was married to Hannah Dilman, whose parents were early settlers of Gratis township, where she was born January 1, 1830."

Biographical Sketch (1981):52, p. 874. "Leander A. Frame obtained this farm, of one hundred and sixty acres, from his father, Daniel Frame, in 1900, who obtained it, 1865, from his father, Silas Frame. . . . Daniel was the son of Silas and Pollie (Strador) Frame. . . . Daniel Frame, who was a public-spirited man of wide influence in his community. He was a member of the Christian church and a deacon in that church. Although possessed of a strong religious nature, Daniel Frame was broad-minded and liberal in thought. He was much interested in the public welfare of the community and contributed much to its common good. He was the father of two children: Leander A., the subject of this sketch, and Ella O., who became the wife of J. W. Brinley. She was born in 1859, married in 1882, and died in 1886."
