Notes for Elizabeth FRAME

Genealogical Research:1105 "Elizabeth Frame who married James Morrow was probably a daughter of Jeremiah Frame. The will of Jeremiah Frame would be apt to show who his children were.

In the Land Office at Frankfort, Kentucky, there are the following grants of land by the State of Virginia: Book I, page 325, 2,000 acres granted to James Hickman, in Fincastle, for military service performed by Thomas Hickman; Book 6, page 177, 400 acres granted to James Morrow in Fayette County; Book II, page 199, 700 acres in Fayette County granted to Jeremiah Frame; Book 13, page 254, 4774 1/2 acres in Fayette County, granted to John Frame, part of this was as assignee of one Kelly. There is quite an account of the Lewis, Hickman, Browning-Morrow families in the family history ‘Jones of Virginia’."

Genealogical Research:4 "Elizabeth Frame who married James Morrow and came to Kentucky in 1775 was probably the sister of Jeremiah Frame, rather than the daughter. The latter was born July 16, 1752, and came to Kentucky in 1784. He had a sister, Elizabeth, baptized as an infant by Rev. Craig, of the Augusta Stone Meeting House Congregation in 1746. Jeremiah was a Revolutionary soldier and went from Kentucky to Ohio. I descend from his first cousin, William Frame, whose family Bible record I am hunting with that of his wife, Sarah, daughter of David Gibson and Ann Elizabeth Stewart or Stuart."
