The likely source of this mis-information is a paragraph in History of Trumbull and Mahoning Counties6 (Cleveland, H. A. Williams, 1882) which refers to a different Henry Baughman, one born 13 October 1769 in Shenandoah, Virginia, and died 28 August 1853 in Fulton County, Illinois.

Their children who came to Ohio were William and Samuel, and the four daughters, viz: Elizabeth, wife of Abraham Baughman; Barbara, wife of William Barb; Margaret, wife of Henry Baughman; and Mary, wife of John Barb. The Baughmans remained but a few years, but both Barb families were permanent residents."
